Hi, there!!
Welcome to Japan 🙂
When you go abroad, do you exchange your currency at banks or airports?
In fact, you can exchange your currency into Japanese yen at a good rate at a ticket discount shop in Japan!
I will show you recommended foreign currency exchange shops with good rates in Osaka.
If you travel Kyoto and Nara, then it’s better to exchange your currency in Osaka.
We live in an era where cards can be used anywhere, and since cash can be withdrawn, many people travel without cash.
However, my opinion is that it is better to carry a little local currency as a security material.
Credit cards cannot be used on buses and trains, which are the main ways of transportation in Japan. There are still many places where you cannot use credit cards.
I exchanged foreign currency in Osaka at discount ticket shops “Ticket Kong” and “Maido Ticket”. Located in Umeda and Namba.
I will tell you the points to note, the good points, and how to get there without getting lost.
Points to note when exchanging foreign currency in Osaka
First of all, I will tell you on the points to note when exchanging foreign currencies.
Precautions when exchanging foreign currency
When exchanging foreign currency at a discount ticket shop, be sure to compare the rates of the foreign currency you want to exchange.
You can check the rate of the day on the shop’s homepage.
If you wish to exchange foreign currency other than Japanese Yen, I recommend that you check the stock over the phone.
Some foreign currencies may not be in stock.
I actually went to the store and asked for Euro currency exchange, but was told that there was no stock.
The Euro was not a minor currency, and I was sure there would be one.
Even in the case of US dollars, be sure to check whether you have the amount of dollars you want to exchange before going to the store.
